How durable is granite?
Granite is one of the hardest and highest density stones in existence. It is highly resistant to scratches, dirt and stains. Unlike laminated surfaces or solid plastic product surfaces, which may blister or scorch, granite will not be harmed even if the hottest pot or pan is placed on the countertop.
Will I get to see the actual pieces you will be using for my kitchen?
Absolutely! You will be notified upon its arrival (if not already in stock) and you can have an actual hands on visit.
Can I have an under mount or under counter sink with granite?
Yes you can! Come in and see the various examples!
Is Granite difficult to maintain?
No. It is as easy as pie! The high gloss surface of polished granite reflects light beautifully and is very easy to maintain.
How do I clean it?
For everyday clean-up, use a mild soap and water. Dish soap or just plain water will do. Or, you may choose to use a liquid stone soap formulated especially for stone.
Does granite need special sealing?
Your countertops will be sealed prior to installation, and you will need to repeat this every six months to one year. This is simply done by pouring on a small amount of silicone impregnator and wiping it on with a clean, white paper towel.
